CCRW’s “Red, White & Bling” to feature Congressman Brandon Gill
Local residents will have the opportunity to meet U.S. Congressman Brandon Gill on Thursday, September 11th in Gainesville. Gill will be the keynote speaker for “Red, White & Bling”, a fundraiser hosted by Cooke County Republican Women, and co-hosted by the Cooke County Republican Party. The catered event, held at the First State Bank Conference Center, 837 E. California St., in Gainesville, will include a silent auction and offer a VIP Reception to have pictures taken with Rep. Gill.
The main event starts at 6pm, with general admission price of $50 per person. Starting at 5:30pm, the VIP Reception is an additional $25 per person. Sponsorships which include general admission and the VIP reception are available.
Gill convincingly won the Republican Primary in March 2024 without a runoff. After winning the general election with 62% of the vote, he was sworn in as the youngest Republican in Congress. He has been an outspoken Trump supporter and opponent of woke liberal policies. He represents citizens in Congressional District 26, which includes all of Cooke County, most of Denton County and the southern half of Wise County.
Born on a USAF base, Gill grew up with a father who flew combat missions in the Persian Gulf War. He learned about hard work on the family’s ranch near Abilene. A graduate of Dartmouth College with degrees in Economics and History, Gill gave up a successful career in finance to launch DC Enquirer, a conservative news outlet. He also worked with his father-in-law Dinesh D’Souza on films about election fraud and current political topics before running for office.
The event is open to the public and advance reservations are encouraged.
