Before founding Switzer | Oney, Mr. Oney was a prosecutor for five years, serving as the First Assistant District Attorney for the 31st Judicial District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Oney worked closely with law enforcement to prosecute all level of felony cases.

Mr. Oney’s time as a prosecutor gave him considerable experience in the courtroom. Mr. Oney has handled a number of probation hearings, bond hearings, and motions to suppress. Mr. Oney has also tried all level of felony cases to a jury, including murder, aggravated sexual assault, drug cases, and DWIs.

Mrs. Switzer’s professional background is varied. She has experience in prosecuting criminal cases that range from felony DWI’s to Manufacturing Controlled Substances to Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child to Capital Murder- Death Penalty. 
Mrs. Switzer developed and implemented the SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) program for the 31 st District. She also developed and implemented the Multi-Disciplinary core case review for child sexual assault cases.
