About Us

One of the greatest rewards in life is the ability to help others. This is the belief of the North Texas Medical Center (NTMC) Foundation. The NTMC Foundation exists to assist NTMC in serving the community's health care needs in the years to come.
The foundation, established as the Gainesville Memorial Hospital Endowment Fund, was developed during the 1980s, when hospitals experienced severely reduced reimbursements on both the state and federal levels. It became essential to create an organization to handle donations to assist the hospital with purchases of needed equipment and funding of building and improvement projects, all of which are designed to offer the residents of Cooke County the best possible health care.

As a nonprofit corporation, the foundation is able to plan, direct and manage projects and activities designed to build a greater public understanding and increased philanthropic support of NTMC.

Support for the hospital is actively sought through major gift solicitation, corporate and foundation support, capital campaigns, planned giving, special events, and individual gifts.
